Our first Summer Slowdown evening took place in 2022 with Janine, David and Femke. An evening in nature to recharge your batteries in the hustle and bustle of summer – with conscious and gentle movement, mindful eating exercises, a delicious picnic together and space for inspiring conversations.

In summer, we experience the purest abundance around us in nature: the rich and bright colors of the flowers radiate and the warmth of the sun lures us outside. A walk through the weekly market brings so much joy and gratitude for the gifts of nature – in the form of juicy fruit, the greatest variety of vegetables and aromatic herbs that nourish our bodies and provide us with vitamins. You may even have sown a few seeds yourself or planted plants that you are now nurturing to harvest in the late summer months. This process of sowing, watering plants, giving love and watching it all sprout creates so much connection to and appreciation for our great Mother Earth.
At the same time, the abundance often shows up in another place: in our diary. There’s a lot going on outside during the summer months – events, festivals, get-togethers with friends, barbecues in the park or garden, trips into nature, to the seaside and so much more. It can happen that all of this together sometimes becomes quite a lot and we need to make sure that we also plan time for rest and breaks, to take a deep breath and recharge our batteries, especially in summer.
This is exactly the kind of moment we want to create for you and for ourselves with our Summer Slowdown: a few hours in which you can reconnect with yourself after a long day and feel physically, mentally and energetically nourished.

We start the yoga class with grounding yin poses and moments of calm and slowly transition into gentle, flowing movements. Afterwards, a delicious dinner awaits us that reflects the variety of colors of summer. After a mindful eating exercise, we will enjoy the meal together and there will be space for inspiring exchanges.
We are already looking forward to creating more evenings like this with you next summer!
Feed your spirit.
