Founding story
ÆNDRÈ started with my vision of change. And it started with food. After seeing and feeling major flaws in our food system and being confronted with my own health struggles a flame arose. Combined with my love for cooking, I created a mission. I wanted to create change through food and connection. Or creating connection with food. Or creating food through changing. All possible. I wanted to devote my life to conscious living and eating, and making a change. I wanted and still want, to live the change. I want to contribute. Besides my business studies I also studied orthomolecular health, joined the slow food movement, worked at two major food players in the Netherlands and dived deep into yoga and philosophy. Then I took this loving step to Germany. A new adventure. Because life is about adventure. Being independent and constantly learning and doing the inner work. It was here, where I created ÆNDRÈ, my vehicle to bring people together and raise awareness for personal and planetary health.
Perhaps the reason I find food so endlessly fascinating is that it is so complex and brings so much joy – like life itself. Food doesn’t just give us life, it is life – which makes it the perfect vehicle through which to examine our toughest personal and global problems – and to effect change.
The meaning of ÆNDRÈ is change. We are the change. We eat the change. Changing is a verb. In order to create change, we have to be the change. My goal was and is to not only serve our guests in our deli, but to serve the greater good. I am deeply committed to contributing to making our food system better, to making our health system better, to contributing to the lives of the people around me. ÆNDRÈ is my child to make a change and to contribute. I wanted and still want to learn, spread knowledge, raise awareness, bring people together and celebrate life. I wanted and still want lots of good food, get togethers, knowledge sharing, expanding to make our impact bigger and many conversations! I wanted and still want to choose courage over comfort. I hope that my dreams come true.

The story starts with me and with food, but it is so much more now. Expanded exponentially. I
welcome you to our community, maybe even in our team. I welcome you to learn what defines us, and
what feeds our spirit. I welcome you to contribute to this story. Together we will be better. Together we
will be more. Together we can make a change.

In which there is minimal waste. We have this vision of Mama Earth bouncing back. We have this vision of a flourishing, diverse planet. On which all creatures are respected. On which communities and companies contribute.
We are a plant-based, omnichannel lifestyle company. On a mission to holistically support conscious lifestyles, through which we contribute to global challenges.
We want to help people understand and choose lifestyle in a new way. Lifestyle isn’t just an empty phrase. It is a pathway to better energy levels, sharper mental clarity, better health, better choices. .And our choices impact not only ourselves. We believe the choices we make about how we live and consume, have a powerful impact on communities and global challenges. Lifestyle is a pathway to fulfilling lives and a balanced planet.
This all is not about image, this is who we are and it permeates everything we do. It’s exciting, engaging and complex and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
